Anzac Day

In room 5 we made a poem about Anzac Day and the soldiers that died in war. Here it is.

At dawn this all began our lives were ruined
Bags around our face to keep us safe until the bombs came in and destroyed us all

The guns were loud so I could not get to sleep

I got up and started to shoot at the other side

Remember me, remember us at Flanders Fields

where we lie in poppies and there we die.

I hold my hat up high to trick the other side

But then this battle ended nearly every soldier lay in Flanders

Fields where poppies grow and were we die.

  2. Hi Annabelle,I'm Lily from Awahono school,I like how you explained who you are. I also like the way you told me about your surroundings. Have you ever been to a ANZAC parade? I'm exited to see what you do next.
